Hämeenlinna which is located on important highway, railroad and waterway, has interesting and worth seeing sights. As birth place of famous Finnish composer Jean Sibelius it has doubles right to be one of Finnish cultural heritage centre. Today the house in which Sibelius had born is serving as a Sibelius museum.An other must see attraction in the city is Hämeenlinna castle which is symbol of city and name giver ( linna = castle). Built at the end of 13th century on shore of lake Vanajavesi for defence and administration purpose of region. Medieval design with impressive red brick walls attracts thousands to visit it. Surely it is spectacular and one of the most pictured historical sight in Finland.
